Continue the Work of the Dominican Three!

Though they are now in prison, Sisters Ardeth, Jackie, and Carol have repeatedly expressed the wish that supporters would move forward with the courageous work of dismantling weapons of mass destruction from our nation and world.

Here are some things you can do to keep up the struggle:

Speak out to our government about weapons of mass destruction

Go to Congress.Org to reach your representatives.

I. Stop the Use of Depleted Uranium and Tell Our Military to Clean It Up!

This March, Congressman Jim McDermott introduced a bill to study the impact of depleted uranium and clean up its devastating residue. Used in armor-piercing weapons, depleted uranium is presumably the cause of veterans' Gulf War syndrome and the leukemia of so many Iraqi children. Tell Dave Camp and Dale Kildee to co-sponsor HR 1483, the Depleted Uranium Munitions Study Act!

II. Stop the New Nuclear Bomb Plant!

The Department of Energy has stated its plans to build a "modern pit facility" that would produce more nuclear bombs, as if we did not have enough already! They are soliciting public comments on this plan until August 5th. Needless to say, it is an outrage that they would consider producing more weapons that waste taxpayer money and threaten to exterminate the world population.

III. Call for an Open Investigation of Iraq Evidence

Public clamor has grown daily over the Bush Administration's blatant lies in its justification of the war with Iraq. Some Republicans have even agreed to allow an open investigation. It will only happen if we keep up the intense pressure. Call your reps to ask what they are doing to ensure the full and open investigation of this serious alleged offense to our country and justice when the results are found.
